As the holidays steadily approach us, it’s time to empty our wallets and fill up on gifts for family and friends. While this task may be daunting, lucky for you, mizu new york compiled a list of go-to gifts for all those hair junkies out there.
We start with the basics: a mizu gift card. Available in any amount, this is a great gift for anyone you know who frequents the salon (or perhaps you think they should start doing so). Next we have the blowdry package ($390) which bundles six blowdries at a discounted price.
For the product lovers we compiled a list of some favorites from a few of our stylists. Senior Stylist Kerry Resnick says that Davines DEFINING Invisible Spray ($24) hairspray is his favorite product because it gives the most hold and body to fine hair. Editorial Stylist Dominick Pucciarello loves Oribe’s Dry Texturizing Spray ($39) because “this season everyone is in a rush. It soaks up the oils in your hair and adds volume.” A great staple for the girl on the go! Senior Stylist Joseph Strafaci chose Sojourn’s Thermal Protection Straightener ($24) because it protects your hair during intense blowouts. It’s great for heat addicts! For those of us with color Master Colorist Moran Gallagher suggests Sojourn’s Moisture Shampoo ($25) and Conditioner ($26) because it “doesn't weight your hair down and it makes your locks shiny.”
If you still aren’t sure what to pick go with the owner’s choices. Vaughn Acord chose Bumble & bumble Sumo Tech ($24) as his favorite product for men. Why? “Because it has nice memory. Sumo Tech continues to work all day and it thickens the hair.” Damian Santiago recommends Oribe’s Gel Serum ($38). His go to product for a “killer blowdry”, Gel Serum offers “great shine and hold especially if layered with Oribe’s Volumista ($29)”. Be careful not to go overboard because “a little dab with do ya!”
Last but not least, we put together some of our favorite gift sets and stocking stuffers. Moroccanoil gift sets come in several different varieties and the products are great for the winter weather. They come in Classic ($12), Spray de Mode ($15) and Does it All ($14). If you need a small gift or are on a budget go with some favorites from Essie nail polish ($8.50). For the fall/winter we are in love with Smokin Hot, Velvet Voyeur and the always classic Wicked.
