Ammon Carver has been a professional hair stylist for nine years and a platform artist with Matrix for six. His editorial work has been featured in several high-profile fashion and beauty publications, such as Vogue, Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Vanity Fair, Seventeen, Modern Salon and American Salon. Ammon’s celebrity client roster includes A-listers Kate Beckinsale, Molly Sims, David Foster, Lake Bell, Parker Posey, Leighton Meester, Amanda Seyfried, and Carson Kressly.
In addition to his role as Artistic Director for Design Pulse, Ammon’s body of work for Matrix includes HD Red, Holiday 2009 Collection, “Legally Blonde” Cut & Color Inspirations, “On the Fringe” Collection, and Design Pulse “Eye On Design” styling brochure. He has also taken his work on- the-road and on-stage for various Matrix events, such as Destination and the Vavoom National Roadshow.
With a well-rounded skill set which includes cutting, color and styling (mastering talent in all three), Ammon’s diverse experience spans Film, TV and Runway. His behind-the-scenes work includes backstage styling at New York’s Fashion Week for designer brands such as Van Cleef & Arpel, Ralph Lauren Polo, Nautica, Luca Luca and Vlassis, to name a few; and his work in Film & TV includes the MTV Movie Awards, Sundance Film Festival, 50 Mas Bellos, and Independent Spirit Awards.
Ammon was a nominee for the 2009 NAHA (North American Hairstylist Award) in the Contemporary Classic category & 2010 in Contemporary Classic & Editorial Hairstylist of the Year.
